The
successful completion of the six-day FIFA Member Association Elite Refereeing
Course has given Ghanaian football a boost. 37 elite referees and assistant
referees from across the country participated in the program, which took place
at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Participants
received extensive technical, physical, and practical training under the
knowledgeable direction of FIFA instructors Bento Tomas Navesse and Essameldin
Abdelfattah Hassan Abdelhamid. The program covered important topics like
decision-making, match management, positioning, and teamwork, with a strong
emphasis on contemporary officiating standards.
The
officials improved their application of the Laws of the Game through fitness
evaluations and video analysis. The group's discipline and commitment during
the demanding course were praised by the teachers.
This
experience is crucial to the referees' professional growth since it gives them
the self-assurance they need to officiate both domestic and international
games. The Ghana Football Association's continued dedication to improving
officiating standards and bolstering the sport nationwide is shown in this
endeavor.
