Friends and relatives of Lake Worth, Florida resident Carly Jessica Flores-Araoz have been in mourning since her untimely death in a car accident in California. Flores, 22, was killed in a car accident while she was in California visiting a friend.
In her honour, a GoFundMe has been established to collect funds for her return airfare and burial costs. Bett Wright is trying to earn $50,000 for her brother Chase Flores-Araoz through the campaign.
[Carly] was well-known for having a kind heart and a lively disposition. We recall the smiles, the laughing, and the warmth Carly offered to everyone in her vicinity.
Wright added, "Even though she is no longer here to share them in person, her kindness, spirit, and love will never fade."
"In addition to the unexpected costs of flying her back home to Florida to be with her family, we are raising money to cover the funeral expenses and memorial services."
The aim of the fundraising has already been reached. Carly's ex-friends also lamented her on social media.
“My heart is so heavy. We have lost an amazing, beautiful, and kind human. You were my cheer bestie and neighbour,” said Karly Briard of West Palm Beach.
“I loved how we were with each other every day, making choreography dances in our backyards, and we have created so many beautiful memories together. You had such a beautiful smile and always lit up the room when you walked in. I love you and miss you. Please rest, my girl. 🤍”
