According to reports, Kamilla Beliatskaya's body was discovered on a beach in Koh Samui, Thailand, on Saturday, November 30. Kamilla Belyatskaya, 24, was exercising in Koh Samui, Thailand, on Friday, Nov. 29, when the event occurred, according to The Times of India and The Bangkok Post.

The Bangkok Post stated that although local officials enlisted a jet ski outfit to attempt to save the Russian national, they were unable to get to her due to choppy waters. The site added that on Saturday, Nov. 30, a bystander who went into the ocean to try to get to her was also reported missing and has not been seen.

According to reports, Belyatskaya was on vacation with her lover when the wave struck her as she was meditating on a pink mat at the popular tourist spot, reported news.com.au.

Only the tourist's pink foam mat was visible floating in the ocean when the rescue crew arrived, and after 30 minutes, the search was briefly halted because of the increasingly hazardous surf conditions, the outlet continued.

According to The Bangkok Post, Beliatskaya's body was discovered on Koh Samui's Chaweng Beach on Saturday, November 30. According to several sources, at approximately 11 p.m., Bo Phut police received a notification that the woman's body had washed up on the shore, about half a mile from the location where she fell into the sea.

“During monsoon season, we constantly warn tourists, especially at high-risk areas like Chaweng and Lamai beaches, where red flags indicate no swimming,” Chaiyaporn Subprasert, head of the Samui Rescue Centre, said, reported The Independent, citing local news outlet Khaosod English.

“While the incident location isn’t a swimming area but rather a viewpoint for scenery, the victim may have been caught off guard by the unexpected wave surge.”
