Ghanaian Students at US University Face Eviction and Dismissal Over Unpaid Fees

Ghanaian Students at US University Face Eviction and Dismissal Over Unpaid Fees

Due to unpaid tuition and housing expenses, a group of Ghanaian scholarship students at the University of Memphis in the United States are experiencing major academic disruption. These scholars are in a risky situation because the government has not paid their outstanding balances.

Restrictions have already been implemented by the university, preventing impacted students from accessing vital academic resources and shutting them off from the official web portal. The institution has sent out final payment notices since the Scholarship Secretariat has not been able to settle the debt.

According to students, they now have less than a week to settle their charges or risk being expelled entirely from their programs. Given the stringent US immigration laws, beneficiaries are extremely concerned that losing their student status could result in deportation.

The trapped students are pleading with the Ghanaian government and the Scholarship Secretariat to intervene right once, cover the costs, and preserve their educational prospects before time runs out.
