The principal, Ellen Dwamena, has been criticized by a Krobo Nursing and Midwifery Training College student. The student, who spoke anonymously on Adom FM, allegedly said that nursing is not for the underprivileged and that the principal ignores student complaints. Students who enrolled in the school with aspirations of pursuing professional careers have been greatly disheartened by this mindset.
The accusation comes after a significant demonstration by
students in the Bono East Region. Demonstrators demanded Mrs. Dwamena's
immediate dismissal owing to inadequate leadership and deteriorating campus
conditions by marching with placards and chanting slogans. She was accused by
demonstrators of being insensitive and autocratic. Additionally, they asserted
that several students had abrupt demotions without access to their academic
records or adequate reasons.
The Ministry of Health and other authorities are being urged
by students to act swiftly. Because they think the prior administration was
much more successful, they want the former principal to be reinstated. The
demonstrators expect that prompt action would safeguard student welfare and
reinstate appropriate academic standards on campus.
