Obuasi police arrest a 25-year-old over a deadly gang attack

A 25-year-old guy has been detained by the Ashanti South Regional Police Command after a vicious gang-related murder in Obuasi. Abdul Jabal Suleman, the victim, was allegedly attacked at Abompe New Site by an armed group commanded by the suspect, Seidu Masawudu, also known as Marshall. The group, who were allegedly carrying guns and cutlasses, seriously injured the victim, who eventually died.

Masawudu acknowledged his involvement in the violence while being questioned. He also named a number of accused collaborators, including Oboy, Mallam Karim, Malik, Balanga, Basit, Nazir, Nuhu, and Baron. The suspect claims that a long-standing rivalry between local criminal groups was the cause of this fatal altercation.

The additional suspects Masawudu named are being vigorously sought after by law enforcement officers as they continue their investigations. The police's efforts to hold the attackers accountable and reestablish order in the neighborhood have advanced significantly with this arrest.
