Following a crackdown on the careless use of toy firearms in public areas, 26 people are currently being held by the police.
Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), which forbids the careless discharge and public display of firearms, including toy guns, was the basis for the arrests.
Police are still working to catch other people who have committed similar crimes.
While investigations are being conducted, the suspects who are currently in custody are awaiting judicial procedure.
The Ghana Police Service has reaffirmed its dedication to upholding law and order.
