A false and deceptive message circulating concerning a purported necessity for students in the Department of Computer Science to purchase Apple products has been addressed and rejected by the University of Ghana. According to the made-up statement, students had to purchase Apple items in order to finish their education.

The university vehemently refuted these allegations in an official statement, reassuring that no academic program requires the use of any particular Apple product. The school advised parents, guardians, and students to ignore the misleading material. The management reaffirmed its dedication to delivering an education that is technology-driven and people-centred, making sure that no student is at a disadvantage because of the tools or devices they choose to use.

The university also gave stakeholders the assurance that its inclusive, transparent, and core value-aligned academic procedures will not change. According to reports, the misunderstanding was caused by a previously faked message that claimed that the Department of Computer Science's performance problems were caused by non-Apple devices being used. This untrue story asserted that pupils' academic performance was negatively impacted by software compatibility issues with Android-powered devices.

It recommended that students purchase iPhones and laptops with particular specifications and mentioned that Apple-powered gadgets were necessary for better performance. In order to avoid being a victim of such false information, the university has asked everyone to confirm any future information through official channels.
