The Stroke Unit of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra has received a substantial donation from Coachhene Sports Club.

Emmanuel Afranie Jr., the son of the late great Ghanaian coach E.K. Afranie formed the UK-based team, which bears his name. Monica Naa Annoa Appiah, the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer in charge of the stroke unit, received a shipment of blood pressure monitors from Emmanuel Afranie Jr. during the donation ceremony.

The unit emphasised the beneficial effects of Coachhene Sports Club's and its Memorial Foundation's donations throughout the years and conveyed their sincere gratitude for their assistance.

Coachhene Sports Club agreed to supply cardiac monitors, which are currently required in the unit, in response to the unit's need for more support.

Coachhene Sports Club, one of the premier grassroots teams in North West England, has a proven track record of nurturing potential and regularly signs youngsters to elite football academies.
