MTN MoMoFest Takes Kumasi by Storm with Sarkodie's Rapperholic Performance
With
an incredible Rapperholic Concert led by award-winning rapper Sarkodie,
MobileMoney Limited, a division of MTN Ghana, is poised to excite patrons in
Kumasi when the MoMo Festival (MoMoFest) stops at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium
tomorrow.
The
MoMo Festival has been taking place around the nation and aims to increase
financial inclusion, educate people about preventing MoMo fraud, and
demonstrate how mobile money can simplify and enhance daily transactions.
MoMoFest
is more than just an entertainment event, according to Alfred Hammond, Senior
Manager, Fintech Marketing, MobileMoney LTD. According to him, MoMoFest is an
initiative to educate the public on how to protect themselves from scammers
while making financial services more approachable, relatable, and lucrative for
everyone.
There
will be a cashless market and fair tomorrow, when more than fifty sellers will
sell their wares to customers who can easily pay with MoMo. A game show, drama
performances, the MoMo Keteke, and the grand Artiste Night in collaboration
with Sarkcess Music are among the entertaining events that will take place. The
Rapperholic event, which promises an amazing lineup of artists to amuse
attendees, will be the highlight of Kumasi.
Customers only need to download the MoMo app in order to enter the cashless fair, which is free of charge. By using the app to recommend friends, you can get tickets to the Rapperholic show. Customers will receive two normal tickets if they recommend five friends and two VIP tickets if they recommend twenty friends. Additionally, MTN has made transportation arrangements for the 100 winners to go from Accra to Kumasi for the ceremony.
He emphasised that information on all genuine MTN promotions and activities can be verified on the official social media handles and warned consumers not to fall for scammers like MoMo Capital investment offerings. He stated that fraud situations can be reported to mmfraudteam@mtn.com or by using *170#.
He reassured clients
that the MoMo platform is still extremely safe and that scammers can only be
successful if clients give them access via dubious websites, text messages, or
phone calls.
In collaboration with MTN Enterprise Business, aYo Insurance, GCB Bank PLC, FNB Bank, and Sarkcess Music, Kumasi is hosting MoMoFest. The Rapperholic Concert will be the culmination of the two-day event, which begins tomorrow, September 27, at Baba Yara Sports Stadium with a cashless fair.
