Kim Kardashian attempted to prevent the release of Kanye West's new song, which features Sean "Diddy" Combs and his daughter North

North, his 11-year-old daughter, and Sean "Diddy" Combs are featured on a new song that Kanye West released.
On Saturday, March 15, the 47-year-old rapper posted the song "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine" on X.

Combs, who goes by Puff Daddy, the disgraced rapper's 26-year-old son King, North, and musician Jasmine Williams—whom West said is a new Yeezy artist from Chicago—are all featured on the song.

An audio clip that appears to be of Combs, 55, and West conversing on the phone opens the tune.
The man who is thought to be Combs can be heard stating, "I want to just thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man," throughout the call. "Ain't nobody reach out to them, ain't nobody call them."

"Absolutely, I love you so much, man," acknowledges West. "You brought me up. Know what I mean, even if I don't know you?"
North may be heard rapping, among other lines, "When you see me shining, then you see the light."

According to TMZ, West also posted since-deleted screenshots of a text exchange with Kim Kardashian, North's mother, in which she informed him that she had tried to prevent the song's release by trademarking the name of their oldest kid.
According to the publication, West texted his ex-wife, saying, "I'm never speaking with you again."

"At the time, I inquired whether I could trademark her name. Yes, you replied. It belongs to her when she turns 18. So stop," the 44-year-old Kardashian added. "To safeguard her, I provided documents to ensure she wouldn't be included in the Diddy song. The trademark must be registered by one individual.
Kardashian also said, according to the publication, that she and West had a deal in place to trademark all of their children's names upon birth "so no one else would [use] them."
"Amend it or I'm going to war," West cut back. Additionally, neither of us will bounce back from the negative publicity. You will have to murder me.

In the past, West has backed Combs, who is incarcerated pending trial for suspected federal sex offenses, and stated his belief that the music producer ought to be released from prison.
West claimed in a series of postings on February 6 that "they" were "trying to make an example out of Puff," among other anti-Semitic remarks in which he lauded Adolf Hitler and claimed in a post that was removed that he was "never apologizing" for his terrible remarks.

Combs entered a not guilty plea to all three of the accusations against him after being arrested in September 2024 on sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to participate in prostitution. His trial is set to start in May, and he has been refused bail.
