Days after designating former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta as a fugitive, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has stepped up its efforts to find him by issuing a wanted notice.
Mr. Ofori-Atta's name, picture, and personal information are displayed on the February 17, 2025, poster, which also notes that he is wanted in relation to several corruption-related investigations.
The OSP reaffirmed in a post on X that Mr. Ofori-Atta is sought to respond to allegations in a number of cases, including the Ambulance Procurement contract, the Strategic Mobilization-GRA contract, the termination of the ECG-BXC contract, and payments pertaining to the National Cathedral.

The United States and the United Kingdom were also mentioned in the notification as potential places he may be living.
At a news conference on Wednesday, February 12, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng stated that Ofori-Atta is sought and has to come back to Ghana right away to be questioned.
Despite a letter from his attorneys stating that he is receiving medical care overseas, Mr. Agyebeng threatened to take action to force him to return if he did not cooperate.
Many people have condemned the OSP's activities, especially after Mr. Agyebeng claimed that a raid on his Cantonments house was staged.
