The Ministry of Education has stated that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will get an additional GH₵35 million to help process the results of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school applicants.
According to a December 27 announcement from WAEC, the money that was received on December 25 will speed up the processing of results and make it easier to scan objective answer cards.
Stakeholders were reassured by the Council that it is making every effort to publish the results before the end of the month.
It did, however, request that the ministry reimburse any unpaid amounts so that supervisors, invigilators, script checkers, and test material vendors may be paid.
Along with wishing stakeholders a happy season, WAEC reaffirmed its dedication to fulfilling its purpose in spite of financial difficulties.
