"For a show, I charge at least $200,000." Shatta Wale Boasts

Shatta Wale, a dancehall sensation from Ghana, has drawn attention once more, this time by disclosing the astronomical fees he demands for his performances.

The energetic performer said in a recent interview with Kumasi-based Fakye TV that his starting fee for a single show is an incredible $200,000.

Shatta Wale outlined the substantial costs associated with upholding his superstar persona in order to justify his exorbitant booking fee.

"That depends on a few of the upcoming shows. I now have a $200,000 rating for select specific shows because of the vehicle I will be bringing to the event. "I have cars that would cost over $1 million if I combined them," he said.

The dancehall king did, however, add that his rates are negotiable based on the circumstances and his rapport with the event planners. I occasionally think, "Well, this is a show where I can charge this amount," after looking at it.

I perform for free on other shows. I'll merely agree to do it when some event planners call and claim they have GH₵200,000 or GH₵300,000," he disclosed.
