| Chukwuemeka to Galatasaray transfer talk fizzles out; future uncertain |
Carney Chukwuemeka has been linked to a move to Galatasaray for some time now, but sources close to the player have stated that no serious negotiations have taken place between the two teams. The possibility of a transfer seems unlikely in light of this information, at least soon. Chelsea's position is unwavering in this regard: they will only entertain a long-term contract for the youthful midfield player. Galatasaray is supposedly only interested in a loan move at this time, so this presents a big challenge.
Chelsea's management would have to reconsider selling Chukwuemeka long-term for a trade to happen. But there's no sign that this is being thought about right now. Chukwuemeka's future is thus still unclear, and relocation to Galatasaray seems less and less feasible.
In recent months, the 19-year-old has been connected to several teams, including Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund. Chukwuemeka is still a Chelsea player for the time being, though, as none of these reported transfers have materialized.
It's unclear if Chukwuemeka will be able to leave Stamford Bridge as the summer transfer window comes to an end. If not, he'll be looking to establish himself with Chelsea's first squad and win over manager Thomas Tuchel.
